A day that will remain in all our thoughts forever. I know I only visit once a year to pay my respects, but you and your dear family will forever remain in my prayers and in my thoughts. By the grace of God I found your website. I googled the poem Awakening by Virginia Borman Grimmer. My mother recently died and left a copy of this poem in her own handwriting with her obituary.

The more I reread the poem, the more comfort I find to ease my suffering. My God bless you and your family and hold each of you in the palm of his hand.

It's been 11 years now. I didn't forget. Sometimes the words just don't come easy. I sat in front of the TV for hours yesterday and watched all the memorials and 9/11 news stories. Mind begins to wander in 10 million directions. I wish things were very different. After all is said and done, I'm thankful for the time we had you with us. We miss you dearly. R.I.P. my friend.

Amo, I was watching the memorial just now and heard Waleed's name and decided to look him up. I was simply amazed at how remarkable he was. It is clear that he lived each day to the fullest and that your love for him made him into the beautiful person he was. Allah Yirhamo.

This year it's 45. Happy Birthday dear friend!! Our high school class met up again for another get-together in San Diego this year. People came from as far as Singapore and Moscow. Just proves the fact that ASK was a special place and strong bonds were formed. There was a lot of reminiscing. As always, everyone sends their love. You are always missed, and always in our thoughts.

I learnt of Waleed's death only yesterday. I am Waleed's classmate from 1984. So very sorry to his loved ones for his tragic loss. I can't imagine 10 years went by and I never knew we lost him this way. Rest In Peace Waleed.
