I have several stories my father told me about our ancestors, which I would gladly share with you. Beside the 8 common ancestor DNA matches with the Heller of Hellertown PA ( one of 96% confidence) I would like to share with you how I know we are related. One thing my father was always certain of was his closes relatives from PA and NY worked in the lumber industry in Greenwood, Steuben, New York and they had moved to Conrad PA and then back to NY. He didn\'t know if the relatives in Conrad were uncles and or cousins but they were his closest Conrad relatives he knew of. Ezra Conrad 1833 is buried in Conrad Hull Cemetery in Conrad PA. George Conrad 1798, Anna Teeter 1800, Ezra Conrad 1833, Catherine Conrad 1830, and other children are living together in Greenwood Steuben NY in the 1850 US census. I have not found one other person researching this family who has made this connection? I\'m sure from your research (so I will not list sources now) That a George Conrad (no date) married Anna Teeter 1850 and Johan Melchior Conrad 1776 and Anna Katrina Bauer 1779 were sponsors for their oldest children, this includes Catherine Conrad 1830 listed in the 1850 census. Other children they were sponsors for have probably left home by now, so only Catherine, Ezra ( probably born in Logue near Conrad PA or Montgomery PA) and the younger children are listed in the 1850 census. In addition to their names matching all their birth dates match within 1 year with the 1850 census. Ezra and family are in the 1860 and 1870 census working in the lumber industry back in Greenwood. George Conrad 1798 is the closed brother to my 3rd great grandfather Peter Conrad 1797.Also I have my grandfather Oliver Daniel Conrad 1869 birth record, his godparents are William Bauer and Mary both form Plainfield, Williams parents are Johannes Bauer and Catherine Heller both have common ancestor with me. wondered if you had any info on Marx Heller and His father Moses Wolf Levy Heller, from Weyl , Zurich, Switzerland and the possibility of Marx being Conrad Hellers father, Gary Pratt had Marx Heller as Conrad\'s Dad. I am distant descendant of Beatrice Lily Jane Fry, searching her history it looks quite sad. She was born out of wedlock so we don`t know the father. She married an irishman (peter walsh) at 16 and a few years later lost her husband in a mining accident, she had two children at the time. She married another Irish man John O`Connor, my great grandad. She had more children and we are told he was a drinker and they were very poor. She died age 40 when my grandad was 9, his step sister brought him up. Being very poor I think he might been ashamed as he never talked about his family. It was passed down through the family that she was related to the Frys of Frys Chocolate, although I never found a connection. Love your site Shaun Walsh

I found your information on the Lanz family. In going through it I find what appears to be 2 dates and locations for the marriage of Katherine Lanz one under Katharine "Katie Lanz F, ID#35 stating she was married 23 July 1878 in Wellelsley, Waterloo, Ontario. The other is under Johannes "John" Lanz M, ID# 115 stating she was married 13 August 1878 in Plymouth, Jefferson County, Nebraska. Am I missreadiing this information or is there an error. I love your site. I am only trying to get several generations so my nine sons will have an idea of their father's family history. My husband was Bob Ray Trim. His father was John F. and mother was Julia Farnsworth. Grandparents were John Trim Sr. and Louvisa Pierce. (Story goes she is 7th or 8th cousin of President Franklin Pierce.) First, thank you for this wonderful site and for the countless hours and years it took to put together.
Emma Margaret Reinwald's info is a little suspect. I think you have her birthday off by ten years, it should be 1889, not 1899. The Census records you show suggests that as well. She would have also been married at 9 years old if it was 1899. According to her obit in the Chappell Register, she died in a Julesburg hospital - then buried in Chappell. Just in case anyone would look for a death certificate, it would be in Colorado.
