Anita's Residence is being Leased out.

The accounting firm which is managing Anita's estates has decided to put Anita's apartment unit out for rent. Given that Mui's mother is still in a legal battle over the validity of Anita's will, the property cannot be sold. In the mean time the Estate Trust Fund still needs to pay out $120,000 Hong Kong dollars (HKD) monthly allowance to Mui's mother. The cumulative amount of management fees charged by the accounting firm over the years have also added up to over $10 million HK dollars.

According to an article published recently in a magazine, Anita's apartment unit is out on the market for lease, at a monthly rental fee of $107,000 HKD, which is supposed to be 40% lower than the average market lease price.(NOTE: Hong Kong is probably one of the top 3 cities in the world in terms of real estate prices).Her apartment has an excellent view of the Ocean Park and the Deep Water Bay area. Anita bought this unit in around 1992 at the price of $20 million HKD, and had been living there up until the time of her demise.

Mui's mother has already lost the first court case when she tried to challenge the validity of Anita's will. She has also lost one or two appeals after that. Now she is awaiting for one more trial at the Court of Final Appeal, and this trial has been scheduled for May 9th this year.

Anita's mother has just lost again at the Court of Final Appeal. This means the court is maintaining the decision that Anita's will is valid.

梅艷芳母親爭產案終審敗訴

已故樂壇天后梅艷芳 遺產案，其母親覃美金上訴至終審法院 ，被裁定敗訴，終院稍後才頒下判辭解釋。

梅艷芳2003年底病逝後，現年88歲的覃美金，一直依靠女兒梅艷芳遺產提供的每月數萬元生活費，但她為了爭奪梅艷芳的全部遺產，先後控告遺囑執行人、主診醫生、遺產受益人等，但多次都被法院判決敗訴。

梅艷芳2003年12月30日因患宮頸癌逝世。她在去世前27天，因擔心母親會將遺產花光，於是訂立遺囑，將自己的兩個房屋贈予好友劉培基，並成立信託基金管理餘下遺產，但每月向母親提供7萬元生活費，並供其2哥及姐姐的兒女讀書至大學畢業。

同時，遺囑訂明，直至母親去世，所有遺產捐給妙境佛學會。

對於梅艷芳寧願把遺產交給外人也不留給家人的做法，引起了其母的懷疑。2004年，覃美金向法院提起訴訟，要求裁定該遺囑無效，但一直未獲滿意結果。

覃美金多次為梅艷芳遺產提出法律訴訟，結果都判敗訴，但她不背放棄，一直與其長子梅啟明爭奪遺產不斷打官司，並由遺產支付訴訟費及律師費，導致梅艷芳遺產不斷被耗損。
