Mui is 40, that guy maybe in 20s (let's say 24). So if he was 6, Mui was 22. Why couldn't she fostered him? It was said right after Mui saw him, she liked him very much and wanted to foster him. That is fate. BTW, the guy already married a few years ago.

I guess you are asking me the question.???? There aren't rules and regulations about the exact age to foster a child. But being only 22, and about 16 years his senior, might be a bit too young to be his godmother (kei ma) at that time. However, really nothing wrong. Just as you said it is fate, also they got on very well, and each played the role well. The godson even walked Mui during her last journey in this world by carrying her picture during the funeral

There is no English version for this last but most memorable book, "Heart of Modern Woman", Mui left us. However, most articles in this book were translated in this website. You can have a look of this book in Chinese, also the English translation from the link at the index page.
