We now have clarification from NASA regarding seat belt eyes. The following method of fixing the belts must be used from the start of this season.

1. The shoulder belts must be attached to a rollcage bar or seat bar.

2. The lap belts may be attached to the floor or tunnel providing the point of attachment is a reinforced area, e.g. an existing seat belt mounting.

3. The crutch strap must be attached to part of the seat frame or floor frame. It cannot be bolted to the floor.
