Steart: Late breeding and display activity.

Not content with having successfully fledged a youngster on 26th October, a pair of Woodpigeons were mating on the telegraph wires by Manor Farm this morning. This represents the tail end of the breeding period according to BWP, but I have not seen them mate this late before.

On afternoon of 15th October, a single Buzzard was sky-diving and calling over the fields opposite the house - again, at the tail-end of the autumn display period according to BWP, but the latest that I have seen it.
