Spent a couple of hours on Wavering Down this afternoon looking for the Ring Ouzel reported yesterday (not here but on Avon Birds and described as being "on the Somerset/Avon border".)
As expected, I didn't find it but there was a Wheatear just below the trig point. Apart from that just a few bits and pieces that you would expect to see in King's Wood and out on open ground, although a group of around 30 Fieldfare were the first I have seen since March.
