Steart Marshes - 10 October 2015

Steart Marshes - 10 October 2015 (afternoon)

1 Peregrine (juvenile female) - initially perched and then made an unsuccessful hunting foray.

4 - 5 Kestrel - perched and hover-hunting.

2 Sparrowhawk - leucistic (female?) found by Simon Fairweather on 16 August 2015 still present. Watched her actively hunting for a total of 75 minutes. Despite her striking colouration she was highly adept at remaining inconspicuous. Although ultimately unsuccessful she very nearly grabbed a Dunlin at one point. Later a juvenile (female?) moved West low over the marshes.

3 Common Buzzard - loafing about on low perches.
