Had a small flock of golden plover fly over Meare Heath this eve with one calling as Pacific golden plover. The call itself, coming from a golden plover sp bird was definitely PGP. I whizzed over to ham wall but they must have flown straight through! Worth checking any goldies you might see around, and if you hear something like a spotted redshank, look up!!
