At 12.30 today i was about to turn onto the 303 about a mile east of Sparkford when i noticed a large bird being mobbed by a dozen or so corvids. As it was considerably larger than they were i stopped the car and watched. The bird flew right over my car about 25meters up and i was delighted to see it was an Osprey and my first at that. I then saw it glide over the dual carriageway heading south east. I have been longing to see an Osprey for years but never expected it would be under such circumstances.
