Interesting to read those times Robin. Today the resident (temporarily) osprey fished successfully just before I arrived, which would have been about 8am, and again at about 1:30 - so very similar times.
A second osprey arrived mid-morning. The two circled around together for a while until the newcomer left. This was repeated later in the morning. There was no obvious aggression but it was assumed the newcomer had been asked to leave.
So today the Osprey at Noah's fished at 8am and caught a very large fish, and then again at 14:00. If anyone is interested I will post a few images from the success at 14:00 on my Flickr site later.
So the bird had good meal at 8:30 and then departed. What a shame it has now moved on. It was great to watch and how about this for a final image. https://flic.kr/p/xP7p15
Hopefully there is still time for another bird to drop in.
