Large number of mistle thrushes

Late yesterday evening found a flock of mistle thrushes on the Mendip plateau near Priddy. There were a minimum of 70 birds, but it was very difficult to count as more kept arriving. I couldn't stop long as has other people in the car. An amazing sight! Also one wheatear.

Re: Large number of mistle thrushes

A meagre 3 Mistle Thrushes over Blackdown this morning. Apart from a flyover X-Bill, 25 flyover Siskins (1 and then 24), 1 Kestrel and 1 Stonechat it was a barren morning out hoping to unearth a rarity!

A quick look at Charterhouse revealed a Female Redstart and a singing Willow Warbler.
