A large flock of greenfinches feeding on rape stubble this morning at Swan Bend on the Bridgwater to Taunton canal (ST30123 27757). It was impossible to count the flock accurately due the fact that they were constantly mobile between the ground and the overhead electric wires, but I would estimate about fifty birds, including one or two yellowhammers.
