honey buzzard

A honey buzzard (together with a sparrowhawk) flew high SSW over Cary Marsh N.R. at 12.40 today; presumably a failed breeder from further north heading southwards again. This is only my second record in East Somerset in 35 years.
Also at this site on 16th, an adult med gull drifted south eastwards during the early evening, plus 2 sand martins with the swallows over the reed beds.
