I am keeping this posting fairly low key in case this bird turns out to be something rather interesting. These pictures were taken recently in Somerset and at first I thought it was a large female Sparrowhawk. However, now I am not 100% sure. It has a lot of the indicators that would make it something a lot more exciting except the eye colour.

So what do you think Sparrowhawk or not?
