Adult Night Heron flew over the Ashcott corner car park at 21:40. The bird was flying in the direction of Meare Heath. A great evening for herons with 7 GW Egrets and 23 Little Egrets seen. No sign of any Barn Owls from vp1 this evening.
At around 3pm an adult Night Heron flew over Waltons reedbed in the direction of the second platform, gaining height and flew over the trees along the old railway track and disappeared from view. Its yellow feet, generally grey colour and black back were clearly visible.
