Singing nightingale at Yeovil Openspace this am. Bird was mostly elusive but showed quite well at times in the trees around the patch of scrub on the opposite side of the cycle path to the field. Photo and a short video of it in song on the website.
Also present was a female green woodpecker and a male bullfinch.

No further sign this evening.

From the tesco express at Abbey Manor Park, go over the zebra crossing on Stourton Way and follow the steps down. Yeovil openspace is the area of field and scrub on the hill straight ahead of you:
