Six Common Cranes flew high over my garden in Mark at 12.30pm today. They came from a southerly/Bridgwater direction, calling and heading north towards Weston. Better than the biggest Easter Egg!
Also on 7th April, about 3.30 saw a group of cranes flying over garden from the Weston/Brean direction, flying east between Mendip ridge and Axe river, just before Loxton. A group of about 5 and another of 3 were close, but separated overhead, one heading south-east and the other, larger group more north-east.
