Tranquil evening at Catcott today. Still a fair few teal, 2 pairs of shoveler, plus a bachelor trying to impress the ladies, chased off after some posturing. Four pairs gadwall and one male and one female pintail - hard to call a pair as at opposite ends of the reserve. Five separate grey herons fishing across the lows and six roe deer. And hot on the heels of Alan's greylag family at Westhay, a female mallard with 3 ducklings.
