Swimming gala

25/03/2015. A visit to the Viridor hide had its surprises today ,soon after settling down a Bittern caught my eye as it swam across the left hand channel admired by a moorhen and a Little Grebe, plenty of time to capture the swim, but unfortunately I was not fast enough to take Video, soon after an Otter came from the right hand channel and passed in front of the hide, all very exciting.Other birds seen.
One Sparrow Hawk.
Male Marsh Harrier.
G-w-Egret flew over.
Five Little Grebes.
a pair of G-c-Grebes.
Returning via Tealham Moor three Buzzards seen ,taking a closer look they were fighting over the carcass of what appeared to be a bird .My wife says it looks like a Redshank.see photo.
