The moor was covered in thick frost and ice at dawn, with car gauge reading -4.
Unable to locate any Whoopers amongst the 166 Mute Swans, other wildfowl included c.50 Teal and 76 Canada Geese.
Star bird was the Marsh Harrier patrolling the Withy beds,also Peregrine,Kestrel and Buzzard present.
Other birds of note:
Kingfisher (1), Reed Bunting c.40 in a single flock, and a good count of 12 Stonechats.
