Re: Catcott Lows 28.12.14.

The Lows were 90% frozen over today duck nos are down to 300'ish still good nos. of Pintail Wigeon and Teal but only a few Shoveller present. 15 Blk Wits plus some very mobile Snipe. Only 2 Marsh Harriers passes (Green tagged bird plus another juv). A male Merlin mid morning and a male Kestrel, a large brown Sparrow Hawk with half a dozen Buzzards made up the raptors seen in 3 hrs. Lots of Meadow Pipits and at least 6 Stonechrts were much in evidence plus Chiffchaff feeding close to hide and seeming to find a lot to eat!
