Mid p.m trip to Catcott prior to picking up the new Somerset Atlas from the Avalon Marshes centre produced 4 Bewicks, first in mainland Somerset this year ?
The swans flew off to the southeast just after 4. Not long after, a low fly over from a sparrowhawk put all the lapwing and snipe up.
Pictures of the swans and other things including a friendly Bittern on the site. Great pictures Andrew Asher!
The Canada's in the photo on your site James look smaller than usual, though I may be mis-judging size based on your photographs?
I would like them to be something else :-) I dont think they are though. I think its the cropping.
