Ten for Dinner.

Returning from a brief visit to Catcott Lows via Tealham I noticed ten Grey Herons, there may have been more following alongside a local contractor clearing rhynes of rushes, the birds were dining on eels and frogs that were dipped in water to wash them clean of mud before swallowing.Supporting cast made up of Crows, Pied Wagtails, Black -headed-Gulls ,Meadow Pipits and even two Wrens, further on towards Blakeway three Buzzards and a possible fourth seen.
A short video of a Heron with a slippery lunch.

Great video Jim. I love the long string of eel slime while it's washing its beak. :)

What a way to go!

I love the heron at the end. Really atmospheric.
