Three Ring Ouzels feeding on hawthorns on the N. Side of the main track between the tops of Sheppard and Bicknoller Combes on the Quantocks this morning. Whilst watching these a flock of c.130 Fieldfares arrived when they eventually flew off towards the NE the flock had probably grown to nearer 250. There was no sign of the Ring Ouzels when the Fieldfares departed so presume they left as well but there were thrushes feeding further down Sheppards Combe so may have joined these.
There was some small movement of Redwings, Chaffinches and Starlings across the hills but no big numbers.
