Dean Reeves and I found two Yellow-browed Warblers at the base of the down today, moving between the walled enclosure and the farm cottage with a large mixed flock, mostly Long-tailed Tits, Chiffchaffs and Goldcrests, with a few Blue and Great Tits and Blackcaps thrown in for good measure.
A Ring Ouzel was by the trig point in the morning (found by Brian Hill).

Kay and I saw one YBW this morning from beside the entrance to the farm cottage below the Down. Put on to it via a mobile-call from Julian, who was up on top of the Down (thanks mate), and then Kay picked it up from its fairly loud calls. It very soon disappeared with the roving tit-flock behind the out-buildings not to be heard or seen again by us in the next 30-mins up to mid-day.
Both Yellow-browed Warblers still present late morning, and very vocal for a short period. While Jeff was watching one from below, Andy Slade picked up the other in a different position to where Jeff was pointing.
The only other bird of any note was a Redpoll flying over.
