The tower hide gives views some open water and reedbed as well as views of the surrounding fields. To access it you need to walk up the drove towards Catcott Heath across a bridge and then a path & board walk leads to the hide. On my last visit about a month ago Little Grebe & Kingfisher were the best birds to be seen.
Greetings Paul, I can't imagine that S.W.T. would have the staff available to do that night and morning on a daily basis, I will ask at the office on Monday.
Called in at S.W.T. office lunchtime today and spoke to Mark Blake. There is no intention of locking the new Catcott Tower hide!
It was locked prior to the bridge near to it being completed!
Catcott Lows reserve was undergoing some large scale excavations today, looks like they are possibly creating a larg'ish shallow scrape area but it's toward the far right hand end, so watch this space. Some topping of vegetation was also W.I.P.
