Lesser Whitethroat & others

11-Apr-14
A Lesser Whitethroat at Shapwick Heath this morning: in willows and scrub along the main track just after the double-seat, walking from the car park (thanks to Martin Sage). Also my first Reed Warblers: one singing from reeds between the double-seat and the footbridge, and another 2 at Greylake, where also a displaying Sedge Warbler.

Re: Lesser Whitethroat & others

LW heard on Queen Sedge Moor last week but not a sniff yet of a Common Whitethroat.

Given the amount of Countryside I drive through on the way to work and back I thought that I might connect at least once this past week, but no!

Re: Lesser Whitethroat & others

2 Lesser Whitethroats on Queen Sedge Moor this afternoon, one which showed ridiculously well. On top of a bush enjoying the Sun and then flying up and singing and then landing on top of the hedge. It even stayed put when two cyclists went by!
