West Moor (Hambridge) WeBS

Water levels falling quite quickly - counted from Hurst Bridge today, previously the only way was from the top of Burrow Hill. Plenty of wildfowl taking advantage of the shallower water. Five colour-ringed Common Cranes as mentioned in a previous post. Whooper Swan (two adults), Pintail (191), Shelduck (52), Tufted Duck (63), Shoveler (64), Wigeon (754), Teal (448), Gadwall (2), Great Crested Grebe (2). A flock of 35 Fieldfare flew over heading east and a singing Blackcap was heard.
