This afternoon at Room hill which is between Exford and Withypool on the b3223 The shirke was showing really well for an hour park in the big layby walk west for 30 yds gate on right hand of road and you on room hill
2 Great grey shirikes in somerset in 1 day

The shrike still present this morning in the area described by Colin but also moving across the small valley to nearby Road Hill.

The Shrike was enjoying the afternoon sunshine again on Room Hill between 13.30-14.15 also a Ringtail Hen Harrier flying through over Exford Common slightly earlier

No sign of shirike on Room hill Sunday afternoon 23rd but that not to say the bird has gone.

Shrike present at Room hill at 12.40 today,also hundreds maybe upto 1000 Golden Plover up on Aldermans Barrow

Still there today, showing well on the bushes opposite the layby. Incidentally lots of Skylarks singing, fabulous.

Shrike present again this afternoon on Room Hill snacking on bettles

Watched a Shrike on Stoke Moor, Rodney Stoke for a good while. Perched on shrub next to a rhyne then would fly off and reappear on the electric fence posts. Eventually flew off towards Draycott Moor/Nyland. My first Shrike in England!

When you say SHRIKE, I take it you mean Great Grey and not something like a Woodchat?

Yes definitely a great grey shrike. Hope to see it again tomorrow, will report back if its still there.

Had a good look on Stoke Moor this morning but no sighting of the Great grey shrike.
