13.30 am this morning seen from London Drove, West Hay Reserve, a take-off and flight of 14 Great White Egrets from the rear of the first open lake on the left (West) hand side of the drove.
Identity confirmed with John Tolfree through scopes... all had yellow and not dark bills...
A superb sight and the largest number I have seen in one place...
Lots of Cetti's present along the Drove, 3 male and 1 female Goosander on the water, flyby from a Bittern and a large flock of Redpoll passing through the trees on the Drove. Juvenile male Marsh Harrier also put in an appearance.
