Drake Smew at Shapwick Heath on Noah's Lake with Wigeon and Pintail at midday today.

Had a good scope scan about 4pm yesterday on way back from Bluetail,but couldn't locate it,if still present even,did find pr of Goldeneye & some Shelduck & a GWE on far side.

If its possible to access Decoy its possible that the Smew may be seen from the Hide ,my records show that a Smew was present 14/02/2013 and 22/02/2012 and from memory the year before 2011 Wellies will be needed!!

Goldeneye and Tufted Duck from Decoy Hide on Tuesday pm but Smew not seen.
I wore wellingtons but they weren't strictly necessary.

We checked for smew at Decoy Pool today and on Tuesday but with no success.
