No avocet at Orchardleigh this afternoon. At least 7m and 2f Mandarins, perhaps visible because forming into pairs and territories?! 3m and 7f Goosanders. Herons starting to occupy the nesting tree. And at least 6 cormorants on the poplar tree at the back of the lake.
