Curry Moor, extensive and deep flooding, which will presumably last well into the new year.
Birds this morning included:
Mute Swans 36
Canada Geese 385 !!
Tufted Duck 33
Black -headed Gull 520
Other birds included a single Peregrine, five Buzzards, single Little Grebe and two Stonechats. Also numerous Meadow Pipits, Skylarks and Pied Wagtails feeding in muddy areas.
Please note the road across Curry Moor is now closed due to flooding. Several stretches of the river bank now resemble the Niagara Falls !!, with water pouring down onto the fields. However large numbers of wildfowl visible from the roadside pull-in at the Lyng side.
