Cold and very dull early morning visit to Westhay brought great sightings of a male Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel and Buzzard. Also seen on the walk round were 3 Great White Egret , a stunning close fly past of a Bittern, plenty of Shoveler, and a few Pochard, Wigeon, Gadwall, Tufted duck etc. Lots of Snipe also present. Saw a flock of 100 plus birds on Alders which revealed to be a mix of Redpolls, Siskins and Goldfinches. Brilliant flora, fauna and scenery on a Winters day, 😄
