House Martins and Swallows

Two pairs of House Martins are still feeding young at the old station master's house at Yeovil Junction Station. Probably a second brood. Under the house eaves is a regular nesting site. They arrived several weeks late this year and there were 6 nests altogether, fewer that in other years. About 2 weeks ago, lots of House Martins and Swallows gathered at the station prior to migration. Today about noon for an hour, 50+ House Martins and Swallows were avidly feeding over Sampsons Wood in S Yeovil.
