Little Terns - Noah's Lake

4-Sep-13
At about 13:30 hrs 3 Little Terns arrived high from the west and circled, calling excitedly, over Noah’s Lake (Shapwick Heath). After 10 mins, during which time they occasionally plunged dived after hovering from a good height, they flew off east passing over the hide. Also present was the Osprey in wing-moult, which caught a fish, 5 Great White Egrets, a fly-over Green Sandpiper, a Hobby and 2 Marsh Harriers.

Re: Little Terns - Noah's Lake

No sign of Little Terns but 2 Black Terns dropped in to Noah's at 8.40 this morning. They didn't stay long but there was also a resting Common Tern there. A pair of Wigeon also noted.
