In a Moderate WSW wind 55 Gannets of all age groups headed East up Channel also 5 Common Scoter,3 Fulmer and 12 Manx Shearwater

A bit more movement off Hurlstone this morning between 6:30 and 9:30:
Great Skua 4 flying west;
Arctic Skua 1 flying west;
Black Tern 3 flying west;
Manx Shearwater 763 going up-Channel which is a large count for August when numbers are usually dropping off;
Gannet 92 all again up-Channel, 59 had returned west by the time I left;
Common Scoter 2;
Shag 2;
and single Whimbrel and Curlew.
