Huntspill and Brue Estuaries

3 common sandpipers, 4 green sandpipers, 1 greenshank and good numbers of redshank and dunlin at Brue Estuary today.

Good numbers of dunlin and ringed plover on seawall between Brue and Huntspill Estuaries. Sparrowhawk seen attacking and nearly catching a ringed plover. Also at least 2 whimbrel and 1 wheatear.

2 common sandpipers and 2 wheatear at Huntspill Estuary.

At Cheddar Reservoir today there was not much to write home about.

Also on the Brue Estuary in the morning on a very high tide.Good numbers of Turnstone,many in breeding plumage.A Spotted Redshank also in almost full breeding plumage,with a juvenile.
