A bird which could only be a Grey Heron was present at Durleigh reservoir early this morning. From a distance the bird appeared to be all black in colour.
Closer inspection through a scope revealed white under-tail coverts and a pale central neck stripe. However a very striking bird, not tolerated by normal Grey Herons and regularly chased away by them.
