This morning,whilst stood on the main bridge at ham wall with Nigel & Elaine White,we saw a half grown Lapwing chick swim across the drain! its parent saw off a passing male marsh harrier & crow,also 1 Bittern,2 GWE,1 GS woody,1 Common tern,& several Little Bittern views,also this pm a Hobby low over A303 nr Ilchester,being mobbed by swallows.
