Roger Daltrey to guest star on 'CSI'
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) --
The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has signed on for a guest role on the popular CBS TV crime drama, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." The news is not all that surprising, considering all of the "CSI" franchises feature music by The Who, Zap2it.com reported Wednesday. The original "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" opens with the song "Who are you," "CSI: Miami" uses "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "CSI: NY" starts with "Baba O'Riley." The network is not revealing the date or any details of the Daltrey episode, but promised the rock icon would appear "in a surprise role that will keep viewers guessing." Daltry is a seasoned actor as well as musician, making numerous TV appearances and getting a Golden Globe nomination as star of the big screen version of "Tommy," Zap2it.com noted. The Who's new album, "Endless Wire," hits retailers Oct. 31.
