If your little guy was just a little over 2 1/2 pounds at 12 weeks, he will probably be about 6-7 pounds full grown. Yorkies usually hit their full growth at about 6 or 7 months. There is always the exception a very large or a very small, but your little one sounds about average.

hi- I recently bought a Yorkie puppy when he was 12weeks. . He weighed a little over 2 1/2 lbs. I recently took him to the vet for his shots. At 18 weeks he weighed 4 1/2 lbs. My vet told me he would weigh 12lbs. at his adult weight. Is this real. That seemed like alot. I am not sure of his parents size. Does anyone know if this sounds right? thanks Michelle
Don't panic. Sounds healthy. Yorkie standard says up to 7 lbs. fully grown. I have a friend with truly tiny ones who only weigh less than 3 lbs. each. My girl weighs about 7 lbs, neutered and aged almost 7, my older (12) boy (retired stud) weighs about 5.
