Hi Timmo. Thanks for your prompt reply. I've this patellar-femoral misalignment on the left since Sept 2020 and the doctor told me it's all related to my advancing age. There are no effective treatments, because the cartilages wear out and there is no way to regenerate them. I can't carry burdens , because if I do that my back is aching. And the doctor who examined me told me to do use an exercise bike (cyclette), to lose some weight and when I go for walks I must consider not only the outward journey, but also the return journey. As for stairs, I try to avoid them too. Even the climbs. Initially, and I'm talking about over ten years ago, I had difficulty going down the stairs. I had to stretch my leg properly. Now also to go up. I take one step at a time - Fortunately I live at the the first floor, but I still use the elevator.
To be honest, I'm not very familiar with the tradition of the seven fishes. Here in northern Italy they use to have fish dinners on the evening of Christmas Eve. But these are old traditions that are falling into disuse.
I wish you my best wishes for your health and a good new year.
Happy 2025 to you and Linda
