Gli U2 rileggono "With or without you": più breve e minimale
La band irlandese ha pubblicato un'altra anticipazione del nuovo album “Songs of Surrender”

Gli U2 il prossimo 17 marzo (giorno in cui si festeggia San Patrizio, santo patrono dell'Irlanda) pubblicheranno “Songs of Surrender”, un album composto da 40 canzoni tratte dal loro repertorio "ri-registrate e ri-immaginate". Nell'attesa di poterci ascoltare tutte le nuove versioni di brani che sono entrati nell'immaginario del rock, la band irlandese ha pubblicato la rivisitazione di una delle loro canzoni più note, “With or without you”, singolo principale dell'album del 1987 “The Joshua tree” (leggi qui la recensione). La nuova versione di “With or without you” - che potete ascoltare più sotto- rispetto all'originale è minimalista, acustica, trattenuta e più breve di circa un minuto e mezzo.



In precedenza, gli U2 avevano condiviso la nuova versione di un altro dei loro cavalli di battaglia: "Pride (In The Name Of Love)", inclusa nell'album del 1984 “The Unforgettable Fire”.
