Annunciate poco fa le nomination della 60ma edizione dei Grammy Awards, una sorta di Oscar musicali americani, assegnati ogni anno artisti e produzioni discografiche.

Il conduttore scelto per questa edizione è l’attore e comico inglese James Corden, e la cerimonia di premiazione, con show annesso, si terrà domenica 28 gennaio 2018 al Madison Square Garden di New York, trasmessa in diretta sulla CBS.

L’elenco delle nomination alle 84 categorie del premio, per certi versi, sia per alcuni brani che per alcuni artisti, lascia davvero perplessi.

Per altri versi, invece, nell’elenco troviamo nomi che ci si aspettava, come quello di JAY-Z candidato in ben otto categorie, tra cui miglior disco per 4:44, miglior registrazione per The Story Of O.J., canzone dell’anno per 4:44.

Dopo di lui troviamo un altro nome prevedibile, e a giusta ragione, ossia Kendrick Lamar che di nomination ne ha sette, tra cui miglior registrazione per Humble e miglior disco per ****.

Quindi sia 4:44 e sia **** sono stati nominati come Miglior album rap … e qui la lotta diventa davvero dura!

Si passa a ruota a Bruno Mars con sei nomination, tra cui nella categoria Album dell’anno con 24K Magic, registrazione dell’anno con il brano title-track e canzone dell’anno con That’s what I like.

SZA invece conquista cinque nomination.

Lo scetticismo sulle nomination sorge soprattutto quando nella lista dei candidati si legge, in diverse categorie, il titolo di un brano in particolare, Despacito, che addirittura conquista anche un posto tra le aspiranti canzoni che potrebbero essere premiate come canzone dell’anno.
