Si è svolta, durante la notte tra domenica 6 e lunedì 7 aprile, l'annuale cerimonia per l'assegnazione degli ACM Awards, ossia i premi elargiti dalla Academy of Country Music - l'istituzione fondata nel 1964 per promuovere e supportare la musica di genere country & western (inizialmente suonata da artisti degli stati dell'ovest).

Questa 49a edizione si è svolta presso la MGM Grand Garden Arena di Las Vegas e ha visto trionfare George Strait (cui è stato attribuito il prestigioso titolo di "Entertainer of the Year"), Jason Aldean ("Male Vocalist of the Year") e Miranda Lambert ("Female Vocalist of the Year").
