Tiè Noel, beccati questa. Dopo lo sfascio degli Oasis, il fratello coltello Liam Gallagher s’è portato via i rimasugli della band, ne ha formata un’altra (nome da liceali: Beady Eye, letteralmente occhio luccicante) per suonare il rock che gli piace. Fronzoli, zero: il suono è duro e puro, produce Steve Lillywhite, detto tutto. Ma omaggi, tanti: il brano Beatles and Stones (più chiaro di così) ha un riff di chitarra che sembra My generation degli Who. Un trionfo vintage. Di meglio lui, lo sfasciacarrozze Liam, non avrebbe potuto fare e ci chiede anche perché avrebbe dovuto farlo: il rock inglese vecchio stile è anche questo, secco e alcolico e, se ci scappano pure brani intensi come la ballata Kill for a dream, lamentarsi è vietato a meno di non rientrare tra i soliti, incontentabili tromboni.
