WHEREAS, Many legislators have come and gone since the first Alaska State Legislature was formed in 1959.

WHEREAS, As participants in the legislative process, each has left his or her fingerprints on Alaska’s history.

WHEREAS, As members of the legislature we developed close interpersonal relationships, some even closer than others.

WHEREAS, Unfortunately we never seem to make the time to stay in touch with one another.

WHEREAS, We all developed friends, foes, and allies that were so important to us at the time.


THEREFORE, It’s now time to develop a forum that will dig up the FOSSILS and bring them back together.


Instead of waiting to see the Alaska flag flying at half mast and wonder who has passed, it’s time to rekindle those relationships.
