Forums been very quiet this last while so it would be a good time to give an idea of what plans I have for the future.
As I'm sure everyone by now knows the 3200 is being sold. This was along with selling the 308 buy my friends Testarossa but I'm struggling to bring myself to sell the 308. It was my dream car and after 5 years owning it I'm finding it very hard to let go.
My next love is Lancia integrale's, and having owned 5 of them, the obvious has been staring at me all this while. Buy an integrale and build it to exactly the spec I want, and use it.
A friend even has the exact car I need sourced for me. As the intention is to run the car as my everyday transport I've decided on an 8V Evo. Why, well they are a little easier on petrol than the 16V and the engines are believed to be that little bit more bullet proof. I'm not worried about power.
So the spec then. Colour will be Winner red and finished to look like a Finale Edition. 17" TH2 wheels in anthracite. FE springs, poly bushed all round. Front and rear struts bars, diff cradle, quick shift gear lever, Fiat Coupe or Porsche brakes, drilled and grooved discs, quick rack steering rack, and HID lights to start with. Also while doing the body special attention will be taken on rust prevention.
All of this of course depends on the 3200 going before the Evo in question sells, because if that happens then the plan is a bit up in the air. The hope to is if everything comes together the car is to be on the road by next summer.
At the same time I have to get the 308 back on the road, try to get some work done on the MK1 Panda and get stuck into my Dads X19 for him.
It's a very tall order for the next year but due to family illness I'm looking at getting it all out of the way as I think it's time to slow down on working on the cars a bit.
So there you go, that's future plans. I can hear my mates now, "that's this weeks plan"! but I'm adamant this is the route I want to take. I've been changing cars a lot recently trying to find a car that I would keep that suits all my needs. And as I said at the start, an integrale fills all those needs.
I hope it all comes together.
Look forward to seeing it all come together... don't put the bigger brakes on before getting the bigger wheels!! lol
For Fiat coupe conversion (305mm Alfa GTV discs) 16" wheels will do for 330mm (GTA) discs you need the TH 17's. I recommend straight induction to the turbo. Something you can probably fabricate for a few quid! :) faster spool up...
You could always go with the F40 calipers if anyone has a set lying around! LoL
